Social Service OrganizationA & N Electric Cooperative works with the Eastern Shore Agency on Aging, the Community Action Agency, the Department of Social Services for Accomack and Northampton Counties in Virginia and Somerset County in Maryland, the local Light House Ministries and local churches and civic organizations to help the elderly, handicapped, and low income households needing help paying their bills.
Life-Sustaining EquipmentA & N Electric Cooperative maintains a file on home-bound consumers who need electricity to operate health-related equipment and makes an effort to restore service to these households promptly in case of outages.
If you or anyone in your household relies on equipment, such as kidney machines, heart monitors, or oxygen tanks, a medical certification from a physician must be on file at the Cooperative office. Knowing the whereabouts of people with special health problems helps us pay particular attention to their needs. Please view and fill out the serious medical condition certification form ( 200 KB).
Budget BillingBudget Billing is available to ANEC consumers who have abnormally high usage for certain periods of the year. Requirements include, but are not limited to, being at their present location for the past twelve months and having established good credit with the cooperative.
If you are interested in Budget Billing, return the Budget Billing Application Form ( 57 KB) to the cooperative billing office or contact us for additional information. Our personnel will be glad to review your account for consideration.
