Description of Event
The cooperative's 85th annual membership meeting will be held on Thursday, Aug. 28 beginning at 6:00 p.m. a the cooperative's Tasley headquarters. As in recent years, there will be no registration gifts or door prize drawings at the meeting. However, all co-op members who return a valid, signed, designated proxy by Aug. 25, 2025, for this year's director election will be eligible to win one of several bill credits ranging from $50 to $250.
To participate, return the completed proxy — enclosed with your July billing statement — to A&N Electric Cooperative. You may mail it back or deliver it in person to the cooperative's Tasley office. Co-op members who use paperless billing will receive a proxy form by mail.
Director seats up for reelection this year are in District 1 and District 3.
- District 1: This district covers the northern areas of Accomack County from Parksley's northern border to the Virginia-Maryland State line and includes Tangier and Smith islands.
- District 3: This district covers the area just north of Nassawadox, in the south, to just above Melfa in the north.
