Mark Hickman
Mark Hickman resides in northern Accomack County and is running for the board’s vacant District 1 seat.
Hickman was born and raised in Horntown, Va. He is a 2004 graduate of Chincoteague High School and has an associate degree from Virginia Tech in landscape design and turf management.
After graduating from Virginia Tech, Hickman returned to the Eastern Shore and began working on his 5th generation family farm, Dublin Farms. The farm grows potatoes that go direct to all east coast markets and Virginia retail grocery stores promoted as Virginia Grown. His family also grows snap beans for processing and for fresh markets, in addition to corn and soybeans for poultry feed.
Hickman is an avid outdoorsman who spends his free time hunting, fishing or boating around Chincoteague Bay.
He and his wife, Nicolette, have been married since 2015 and have three children, a 16-year-old son, 12-year-old daughter and 10-year-old daughter.
“I appreciate the opportunity to serve on the board and look forward to helping lead A&N Electric Cooperative into the future,” Hickman said.
Hickman is running unopposed for the board’s District 1 seat formerly held by longtime director Edward V. Parks, Jr.
