At the end of each 12 month period, beginning on the initial service date of the member’s net energy metering service, A&N Electric Cooperative will zero out any excess generation accumulated during that 12 month period.
Upon written request of the net metering member, A&N Electric Cooperative will enter into a power purchase agreement (PPA) to purchase the excess generation at a price equal to the cooperative’s average wholesale avoided cost for that 12 month period. Schedule NEM-9 requires the net energy metering system be sized to produce less than the prior 12 month usage to help avoid the potential for excess generation.
The purchase power agreement is intended to address occasional unavoidable or unforeseen excess generation situations.
If a power purchase agreement has not been executed the member will not receive compensation for the excess generation. A&N Electric Cooperative highly recommends the potential net energy metering member submit a request for a power purchase agreement at the time the net energy metering application is submitted.
Should you wish to enter a power purchase agreement with A&N Electric Cooperative effective at the time net energy metering service is initiated please complete the following acknowledgement statement and return this letter with your net energy metering application.
In accordance with the information presented above, I request the execution of a power purchase agreement for the net energy metering installation identified below to be made effective on the first day of net energy metering service:
