What qualifications do I need?

  • Must be a natural person and not an entity
  • Have been a member of the Cooperative for at least four (4) cumulative years
  • Have the capacity to enter into legally binding contracts
  • Reside and maintain your primary residence in the district you are seeking election.

SurgeAssist Frequently Asked Questions


SurgeAssist is A&N Electric Cooperative’s newest electronics protection program line in its Member Products and Services that helps you with protecting against extensive repairs from surge-related issues. SurgeAssist can be used in addition to or in lieu of the Cooperative’s Meter-Treater program. Residential members are eligible for the program simply by being a member of the cooperative with residential service.

A&N Electric Cooperative is upgrading to new, enhanced meters to improve the efficiency and reliability of our electric system and also to expand value added services to our co-op members moving forward.  Many members have asked questions about these new meters and how they work. Capital Credits


A&N Electric Cooperative is a not-for-profit, owned by our members. That means the money left over at the end of each year after all expenses have been paid are eventually allocated as capital credits back to co-op members.
